This is a two-year course. Students admitted for this course are Advanced Level Secondary School education

Admission requirements:
The Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (“A” Level) with a score of at least 1 principal pass in essential Biology,
Chemistry, or Agriculture and 2 subsidiary passes in either the relevant subject of Physics, Mathematics, Geography,
Food and Nutrition. A pass in the desirable subjects (sub mathematics, general paper and computer studies) is an added advantage.
Duration: 2 years.
Career prospects:
Researcher, Production Manager, Project Manager, Extension Worker, Start own Project/Business.
Opportunities for further studies: Degree in Horticulture, Degree in Agriculture, Degree in Animal Husbandry,
Degree in Agribusiness Management, Degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Extension and Degree in Organic Farming.
NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT (DAP)

NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT (DABM)
Admission requirements:
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (“A” level) with at least a principle pass in Biology/Agriculture and two
Subsidiary passes in any other relevant subjects (Economics, Geography, Foods and Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, Chemistry
and Mathematics). Alternatively, a certificate of Agricultural Sciences from a recognized Agricultural Training Institute
N.T.C Teachers Diploma in Education (Agriculture) and holders of farm schools certificate with at least 3 credits at “O” level.
Duration: 2 years.
Career prospects:
Agricultural Farm Manager, Agricultural Field Assistant, Marketing or Sales Officer, Self-Employed, Cashier, Assistant Procurement Officer,
Assistant Cooperative Officer, Extension Agent, Production Manager and Project Manager.

NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN CROP PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT (DCP)
Admission requirements:
The Uganda Certificate of Education (“O” Level) or their equivalents, with at least a credit pass in Biology, Agriculture or Geography.
The Uganda Advance Certificate of Education (“A” Level) with at least a Principal pass in Biology, Agriculture, Geography or entrepreneurship.
Credit passes in Tropical Agriculture from a recognized agricultural training institution. Or a certificate of at least lower second class in Animal Production or General Agriculture from a recognized Agricultural College.
Duration: 2 years.
Career prospects:
Agricultural Farm Manager, Agricultural Field Assistant, Self-Employed, Farm or Input Supply Shop Attendant, Greenhouse Managers,
