The Academic Registrar of Eastern Polytechnic invites applications for Diploma and Certificate programmes.
Eastern Polytechnic provides equal opportunities for every individual interested in pursuing education at Certificate and Diploma courses.
Admissions to Eastern Polytechnic shall be open to all qualified national and international persons without discrimination. A student is admitted into an academic program when he/she meets the entry requirements into that program.


• Diploma Programmes

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to any Diploma programme on meeting any of the minimum qualifications

i) Advanced Level Entry Scheme

The Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (“A” Level) with a score of at least 1 principal pass in essential Biology, Chemistry, or Agriculture and 2 subsidiary passes in either the relevant subject of Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Food and Nutrition. A pass in the desirable subjects (sub mathematics, general paper and computer studies) is an added advantage.

ii) Certificate Entry Scheme
A certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.


• Certificate Programmes

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to any Certificate programme on meeting any of the minimum qualifications

i) Ordinary Level Entry Scheme

A candidate should have obtained a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 3 credit passes one of which must be in Agriculture, Biology, or Chemistry and must have passed English and Mathematics.

ii) Certificate Entry Scheme

At least a credit in Uganda Junior Technical Certificate from a recognized institution in any of the fields or any other field as approved by the Selection Committee constituted by the Ministry of Education and Sports.



Application Guidelines

Application to the institution is done as follows;

  • Pick an application form for the course your choice.
  • Fill it up and attach the required application documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the application form to the registrar's office.
